Above is a view
of the sky - getting closer & closer to the hummingbird and Bottle
Brush - in a Beverly Glen Home for a baby boy's room. The ceiling
is shaped like a natural skylight would be. Below, the clouds are
'right-side up', and these Bluebirds on a flowering Plum-Tree branch are
what you see when you walk in. |

Faux-Finished Baby
Rocker
|
|
This baby rocking chair was painted to the
simple specifications that the "distressed" effect be done over a dark
stained wood. I just happened across this oak chair, which
I lightly sanded and stained before applying the acrylic colors I always apply natural clear or sometimes tinted wax after all
painting is done...it really brings out the grain and a nice satiny glow...not
glossy at all. Distressed furniture such as this is considered a form of
"Faux Finish" technique. |

Below is another baby chair
made to compliment the Winnie-the-Pooh Toile wallpaper which was Sage
Green on cream...the scenes are most likely of the Blustery Day!
(So far I only have pics of my having
scanned the chair itself! I accidentally gave the chair to
the client before taking pics...so much the better, tho, as now I can
take pics in the room itself!...available shortly!) |

Another Baby's Room
 |
This
tree actually has more vibrancy of color than the photo shows, however,
the flowers in the foreground were painted to match the ones in the
curtains. The one banch in the tree ends where the upper curtains
were hung on a branch-like rod, with ironed-on leaves floating down. |
